This app is entirely free and can be used by everyone attending the HFA Symposium. At HFA, we understand that bleeding disorders are not a one size fits all medical condition. Dealing with or caring for a loved one with a bleeding disorder is a lifelong journey requiring diligence and flexibility in handling the challenges along the way. HFA Symposium offers community members the opportunity to learn and grow personally and collectively in becoming strong self-advocates!

Hemophilia Federation of America (HFA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in 1994 to address the evolving needs of the bleeding disorders community. We serve as a consumer advocate for safe, affordable, and obtainable blood products and health coverage, as well as a better quality of life for all persons with bleeding disorders.

Blood Brotherhood is a national program for adult men, living with hemophilia or von Willebrand disease. It is designed to be a multiavenue outreach, to provide education and support, promote good health, and establish a sense of community for adult men.

Blood Sisterhood is a peer network of women who support women with bleeding disorders on their lifes journey through diagnosis, treatment and day to day living. Ultimately, through furthering the conversation among women, we seek better health outcomes and a better quality of life for women with bleeding disorders.

FitFactor is a national health and wellness program that provides people helpful information about how to stay active and healthy while living with a bleeding disorder. The programs goal is to motivate men and adolescents to engage in regular moderate physical activity and to maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle through proper nutrition.

Dads in Action is a national program committed to creating a network of men in the bleeding disorders community who educate, support, and challenge each other as they strive to be proactive and responsible role models for their children and families. Several HFA Member Organizations hold local Dads in Action programs.

Moms in Action is a peer network of women who understand the challenges of being a mother of a child with a bleeding disorder. The challenges of tending to family members physical, intellectual and emotional needs while juggling doctors appointments, infusion schedules and unexpected bleeding episodes can be draining and difficult. By providing tools that help you gain knowledge about bleeding disorders, develop positive parenting solutions, and adopt healthy behaviors, HFA is committed to helping moms feel confident in their ability to make educated decisions and feel ongoing support from the community and our organization.
